…partial connection
I really wanted to like these spots. I wanted to think that brand perception would change with the onslaught of amazing advertising that might actually give Apple a run…at least in its advertising.
I’ve been a bit let down. These are somewhat funny. They are not horrible. They are not great. Just….ehh.
I was expecting more…which might be most of the problem. The celeb/icon bit seems a little desperate. Maybe not as desperate as the Mojave Experiment…but certainly forced.
I tend to think that CP&B will turn this humble beginning into something that will blow me away, or at least approach the largely touted brand shifting.
But…let’s face it. It’s a brand that will most likely never be known for cool factor. Maybe it should try to be more itself than ever…be PC on a 10. “Trying” to be cool will continue to enhance the stereotype, and ultimately fall short of success.
I guess we’ll see…
